Teresa Nuar is from the East Coast, but after spending the last few years in the Dakotas and Denver, she has returned home to Virginia. Teresa attended Franciscan University soaking up as many history classes as she could, before pursuing a degree in Library Science. She is currently working as a Teen and Young Adult Librarian in Virginia. The more she got to know CBC in other cities, the more she wanted to help start it on the East Coast! When she isn’t with teenagers in the library, she loves her coffee, exploring new places, playing with her nieces and nephews, and doing crafty things – from craft beers to arts and crafts.
Ashley Froy grew up in a small town (< 5,000) and now calls Roanoke her 'Big City' home. Ashley combined her passion and degree for teaching and the dedication she witnessed growing up, observing her god-mother, who is blind, and chose her career path. Currently, Ashley is a traveling Teaching Specialist for the Blind/Visually Impaired in many Virginia public school counties and is also working towards her second M.A in Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Ashley is the Core Team Leader for the LIFETEEN team at her church, and is also the Chair of the Roanoke Valley Catholic Young Adults. When she isn't engulfed in her love for her faith and students, she enjoys trying out new craft breweries, biking, working out, dancing with SalsaNoke and most of all cheering on the Hokies with her fiancé, Michael.
